We are currently looking for a Research Associate to join the research team in our Hong Kong office.

Job Description

 

Research Associates contribute to the content and distribution of our acclaimed and highly differentiated research product at all levels by:

• conducting in-depth analysis of the industry and publicly-traded companies in the sector

• building and maintaining detailed financial models including forecasts

• drafting and writing research reports

• helping formulate investment opinions

• interacting with company managements, sales and trading, and our institutional client base

 

Our industry teams are typically only two or three professionals in number, and you will have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution. We make a strong commitment to Associate development, and give you opportunities to rapidly gain visibility and incremental responsibility. These are typically 3-5 year positions with outstanding growth potential.

Job Qualifications

 

We are looking for both Research Associates and Jr. Research Associates to join our team.

 

Our Research Associates typically have track records of outstanding professional performance, excellent analytical and financial skills (practical knowledge of financial statement analysis and modeling are important for these positions), relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level. We look for stellar intellectual and academic credentials, including honors and awards, and test scores and grades in the 90th percentile and above. We want consummate team players who seek a highly rigorous and challenging environment for their career development.

 

Research Associate candidates typically have MBAs from top business schools, advanced degrees in finance or engineering, and credentials such as the CFA or CPA.

 

Jr. Research Associate candidates have one to three years of experience in equity research or investment banking. Candidates for the junior research associate roles typically have a quantitatively-oriented undergraduate degree (math, finance, engineering, etc.) with honors from top academic institutions.
