先修课：中级微观经济学，中级计量经济学
课程目的：学习经济学如何应用于分析劳动力市场的问题，并且学习如何使用计量经济学分析劳动力市场的数据。
课程内容：
本课教学内容分为三部分，一是学习教材和课件中的内容，二是学习阅读经济学论文，三是实际动手分析数据。
教材: Ronald G. Ehrenberg and Robert S. Smith, Modern Labor Economics: Theory and Public Policy, 10th Edition
论文：本学期将阅读9篇经济学论文，大多来自教材专门介绍的 “Empirical Study” 部分的论文。
分析数据：同学们将整理和分析数据，大部分数据来自课程，有的需要自己寻找。
课程要求：
作业：实际动手的作业应该把程序和结果一并交上来，并且要独自完成，不许抄袭，抄袭的作业将计为0分。除了实际动手的作业外，本课将不另外布置作业，但是同学们应该自己做书后的练习题，考试中的题目绝大部分将与这些问题类似。
论文阅读：要求同学们阅读所有文章，文章内容（限于识别策略）可能在考试中出现。部分同学可以申请在课上讲论文，讲论文的同学要提前两天将PPT传给助教以得到修改意见，讲得好的同学可以得到最多5分的加分。
课程论文：将允许最多十位同学以课程论文代替期末考试，论文必须与中国劳动力问题有关系，并且是实证研究。写论文的资格由论文开题报告和期中考试成绩由教员决定。
成绩结构：作业 40%，期中考试 30%，期末考试或者课程论文 30%。
