题目：Family Involvement in Finance
摘要：This seminar is to discuss topics related to family involvement in finance by highlighting behavioral agency theory in the lenses of traditional agency issues and socio-emotional wealth. Two examples based on two research projects are used; one is entitled "Family Involvement, Executive Inside Debt, and Cost of Bank Loan", and the other is entitled "Deal Valuations of Family Firms in Cross-Border Acquisition: A Contextual Analysis".
主讲人简介：Dr. Zhenyu Wu holds the position of Canada Research Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and is now a nominee for Royal Society of Canada - College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. He is the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Research Programs at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba, and serves as a tenured Full Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance, as well as a Ph.D. advisor. Dr. Wu holds Ph.D. in Finance, MBA in Finance, and M.A. in Economics degreesHello from the University of Calgary, as well as a Bachelor of Economics degree from Nankai University. His research interest falls into entrepreneurial finance, entrepreneurship, family business management, and corporate governance. Dr. Wu is now serving on the editorial boards of multiple academic journals in the fields of entrepreneurship and finance, as well as a guest-editor of various special issues. Dr. Wu has published more than 40 articles in academic journals, 10 of which were published in journals on the Financial Times-50 list.
