2023年纽约市立大学柏鲁克分校金融工程硕士招生说明会及专题讲座

2023年10月18日，Baruch MFE项目主任Dan Stefanica教授、Jim Gatheral教授、Tai-Ho Wang教授以及Rados Radoicic教授将举办招生说明会及数量金融专题讲座。招生说明会除了为同学们提供项目最新的招生信息外，还将特别报告和解读Baruch MFE中国学生的实习和就业数据。与会同学将与教授们交流申请信息，就读Baruch MFE的学习规划及职业发展经验，热烈欢迎同学们的参与。
同时，数量金融大师Gatheral教授将带来一场在纽约和伦敦学界及业界获得高度好评的专题讲座——“Computing skew-stickiness”，期待同学们在现场中与Gatheral教授的零距离交流！

2023年10月18日星期三晚上8-9点（北京时间）Jim Gatheral教授数量金融专题讲座
讲座提要：Empirically, implied volatility moves proportionally to the implied volatility skew; the constant of proportionality, the skew-stickiness ratio (SSR) is roughly independent of time to expiry. We express the value of the SSR in terms of a diamond tree (the Bergomi-Guyon spot volatility autocorrelation functional). We give examples of explicit computations.

教授简介
Dan Stefanica
Dan Stefanica教授担任Baruch MFE项目主任二十年之久，不仅拥有资深的就业指导经验，还与华尔街所有金融机构保持着长期深厚的合作。多年来，Dan Stefanica教授做到了亲自为项目的每一位学生和已毕业校友提供就业服务，量身定制职业规划。Dan Stefanica教授著有金融工程专业领域的经典教程：A Linear Algebra Primer for Financial Engineering， A Primer for the Mathematics of Financial Engineering，150 Most Frequently Asked Questions on Quant Interviews。
Jim Gatheral
Professor Gatheral拥有剑桥物理学博士学位，是世界级数量金融专家。其职业及研究经历涉及金融衍生品定价、风险控制及交易优化。在世界各大金融中心从事一线交易工作20余年，期间曾任美林银行（Bank of America Merrill Lynch）董事经理（Managing Director）达17年。同时，先后任教于纽约大学和纽约市立大学，从事金融工程领域的教学，目前重点研究领域为：隐含波动率建模和市场微结构模型。Gatheral教授同时还是国际学术及业界交流研讨会议中的常客。他的专著 The Volatility Surface: APractitioner's Guide 是数量金融领域的经典之作。
Tai-Ho Wang
Professor Wang多年来一直担任项目申请的面试官，直接面对面与每一位申请学生“过招”。因此拥有丰富的面试经验，对申请学生的知识储备、专业能力和逻辑沟通有精准的判断。相信Professor Wang在这次招生说明会上的“锦囊妙计”能够帮助有意申请的同学。
Rados Radoicic
Professor Rados Radoicic拥有麻省理工学院数学博士学位，是Baruch MFE项目最受欢迎的老师之一。Professor Rados Radoicic与Professor Dan Stenfanica和Professor Tai-Ho Wang合著经典面试书150 Most Frequently Asked Questions on Quant Interviews。
