摘要:The landscape of philanthropy has been experiencing a significant revolution during the last two decades. New frontiers of philanthropy have surfaced dramatically, tapping not only traditional philanthropy but also private and governmental sectors, by blurring the boundaries and engaging multiple actors and tools. While social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, and social innovation are gaining their space in mainstream discourse in management realm, impact investment, ESG, and other financial and non-financial investment are glowing and getting increasingly active along with nonprofits and foundations, tackling emerging and growing grand challenges in our society, such as poverty, carbon issues and climate change, aging and health, and rural revitalization and common prosperity in Chinese context. The sharing here aims to map the numerous points of light that emerged and surrounded the philanthropy in the recent years, with attempt to unpack the underlying logics and to reveal their implications to today's research on modern global philanthropy. Based on these implications, the emerging response paradigm, co-creation, is further explored in theoretical and practical terms through action research methodology.
